Since opening our doors on 13 September 2024, Joo Chiat has become the beating heart of Cata — home to our cafe, roastery and bakery.

Finding our place in the East
Joo Chiat is a neighbourhood unlike any other — a mishmash of communities, identities and contrasts, constantly evolving yet distinctly “Eastie”.
Over the past two years, we've grown to love being part of it.
Coffee is our reason for being here
We believe a cup of coffee can be an experience that lingers long after the last sip.
We work with smallholder farmers to bring delicious, seasonal coffees to our menu, changing our selection as the coffee seasons shift around the world. Alongside them, you'll find bakes and pastries made in-house, with our roastery and bakery right here in the space.
Everything is made here. Everything is meant to be shared.
It's about the relationships
We always valued the relationship we had with our customers.
We didn't want to be a typical cafe where people just came to buy coffee and quickly go home. We envisioned a space for interaction, where locals can rub shoulders and have a chat over food, flat whites or share the latest gossip. We value the close relationships we are able to have with customers and it's a joy to be part of the community.
Two years on, the work continues
The days might follow a familiar rhythm now, but it never grows old. We always look forward to serving you.
