Complex fruit tones and layers of candy-like sweetness.

Our second Peruvian fresh-crop release is a natural Geisha produced by Efrain Carhuallocllo on his farm El Cerro. We have roasted this coffee to highlight its delicate and fruit-forward profile. A balance of sweetness and refined acidity make this a distinct Peruvian geisha.

Suited for all filter brew methods.

Origin Story

Efrain Carhuallocllo Salvador is an award-winning coffee producer, farming on 4 hectares of land in the El Corazon village in Chirinos district. Chirinos is a district in the province of San Ignacio and is one of the most well-known areas for quality coffee in Peru. Chirinos is well connected to nearby cities, with new roads and a thriving town, which serves as a hub for coffee buying and trade.

Efrain grows Caturra (yellow and red) and Geisha varieties on his farm, maintaining a strict protocol of not applying any herbicides or pesticides. This geisha selection is our first purchase of Peruvian coffees through Falcon Coffees, a green importer with a dedicated team and presence in Peru since 2018.

Processing
Once harvested, Efrain's coffee is allowed to rest for 24 hours under shade in plastic bags. It is then transferred to African beds that are maintained under controlled temperature and humidity conditions. The drying process for his natural coffee takes up to 40 days before they are ready to be milled and exported.
